Maintenance Engineer

The group Electronics Maintenance is part of the section Maintenance, Investments & Metrology and is responsible to provide the test labs within Research & Development with corrective and preventive maintenance within the electrical and computing field. The group provide support for about 300 test equipments. Today our team consists of 29 colleagues where nine of them are consultants.

As a Maintenance Engineer your main responsibility is to perform corrective maintenance when errors occur. At these occurrences, you will be working closely together with the operators and/or test engineers in the test labs. The large number of electrified test equipment will give you a wide network of contacts as well as a wide technical knowledge. Test cells that are complex tend to increase which requires unique and broad technical knowledge. For example, today it is more common to test several characteristics at once, meaning that several advanced computer aided systems are working together in a sophisticated way. But never the less it still requires you to work with preventive maintenance on a daily basis, either by repair, changing parts or by analysing errors or malfunctions in the systems to prevent them from happening again. The role requires independence and ability to search for information.

Main responsibilities

* Perform preventive and corrective maintenance
* Initiate and perform modifying maintenance
* Participate and propose necessary changes to secure operational reliability over time for equipment in the test cells
* Participate in investment projects representing maintenance issues during the whole project phase
* Use Maximo as a tool for documenting work orders
* Evening shift every five weeks
* On-call duty every five weeks

Required qualifications

* B Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics or equivalent knowledge gained by experience
* At least 5 years working experience within electrical maintenance or electrical design
* Good knowledge of fault tracing in automation, control- and electrical driver systems and/or metrology
* Computer skills including knowledge in OS and PC-hardware is meritorious
* Experience from commissioning, installation and assembling is meritorious
* Fluent in English and Swedish, both written and spoken

* Good analysing skills
* Ability to work independently but also like to share your experience with your colleagues
* Customer focused and communicative
* Good communication and social skills
