We are looking for three people who are in the first year of the IT education Systems Science at college/university, who are interested in taking a holiday temporary position at Mainframe Core Operations HCL Technologies. Our goal is for you to work with us for several summers during your studies.
You will work with Mainframe environments/Operating system z/OS. Mainframe Core Operations is responsible for the monitoring and operation of a large number of Mainframe/z/OS machines worldwide.
We monitor the environments, take care of infrastructure issues, fix batch and application issues and have close contact with engineers all over the world. We work shifts that cover all hours of the day and night, all year round. You will work on a shift together with regular employees.
You must be available for scheduled shifts, day and/or night, every day of the week, between mid-June and the end of August, to replace regular staff during holidays. It may be possible to plan a few weeks of vacation during this period. The shift also gives days off from time to time. In addition, we will offer the opportunity to work certain shifts throughout the year in case of regular people's illnesses and possible absences.
In order for you to start working on 15 June, a number of training sessions are required during the period 1 February to 15 June. It is a total of about 50 hours, divided into about seven to ten sessions. The education will be located according to your wishes and where schoolwork leaves room. Towards the end of the education, you can be expected to be able to support the business in case of illness or high workload.
You should have a great interest in IT, be responsible, curious, have good collaboration skills, be open to learning new things and have good Swedish and English skills both orally and in writing.
