To the Digital Machining Business team - where we all share a passion for innovation and developing new solutions - we are looking for a Machining Analytics Engineer. Someone who wants to be part of a new and creative area in our business: working in modern and exciting environment and interacting in a dynamic and international setting. This position is global flexible, however we do prefer if you are located in Sandviken, Sweden.

Key performance areas
As a Machining Analytics Engineer, you drive technology advancement and identify customer needs and opportunities within Digital Machining, such as intelligent tools systems and sensor based tools, as well as process monitoring systems connected to the machining process. Working in close collaboration with the industry and our customers, you follow industrial and technology trends, validate our solutions with the identified market and assist our global organization on taking the offer to our customers and partners. You pinpoint and detect demands on data transfer and how to meet future needs within tools and software, and you recognize opportunities for intelligent tooling systems corresponding to customer requirements and technology readiness, including ways for us to add value to our customers and our offer. You also work closely to our R&D department, giving your input on industrial technical needs and being actively involved and initiating machining, application, software and product development projects connected to digital machining solutions.

Travel is included to some extent.

We are looking for someone with a degree in Engineering or a technical field, or who has gained equivalent experience through previous work. You have a minimum of five years' experience working as a Product Manager or Application Engineer and broad knowledge of the machining process, tool path optimization and machine tools. A background in machining analytics using data to evaluate the machining process is a prerequisite. Insight in Industry 4.0, process monitoring and sensor based products are highly valuable, and you have broad knowledge of CAM systems and machine tool NC programming and from using software solutions. For this position, you also need a driver's license. As we operate in an international setting, you have great communication skills in English, in both speaking and in writing.
