Job description
As a Machine Learning engineer in our AI research team at ASSA ABLOY, you will work together with creative, curious, and knowledgeable people like yourself. Together we will create the next generation access solutions empowered by AI.
Our project portfolio includes data analysis, machine learning and applied AI exploration and concept innovation projects. In our work to understand what goes on around a door, we use powerful sensors combined with local or cloud compute where our machine learning models are continuously improved. We support each other in our curiosity and creativity, through thoughtful discussion, mentorship, and knowledge-sharing among a diverse set of peers and colleagues. At this point we have one opening for a machine learning engineer.
You will report to one the R&D Manager at Group Technology Team. The office is located in Årstadal, Stockholm, and international travel is required from time to time.
What we are looking for
Foremost, we think you are open-minded, curious, a team-player who takes pride in contributing at a high level and that you are passionate about work. System engineering and programming experience in Python or other relevant language is required as we expect you to be hands-on coding from the start. We do machine learning in the Cloud, Edge and on small devices. Quite a lot has to do with video, depth sensors, radar, sound, accelerometer and appropriate algorithms in isolation or collaboration. Skills that would bring value to us as well are Docker, Serverless, Cloud architecture, Mobile, Embedded, Image processing, Data pipeline, BigQuery/NoSQL, Timeseries and Graph Databases. We encourage you to apply if you have a degree in computer science or similar and significant professional machine learning experience.
