We help keep your lights on, the factories running, our hospitals and schools open. Come as you are and prepare to get better as you learn from others. Bring your passion, bring your energy, and plug into a team that appreciates a simple truth: Diversity + Collaboration = Innovation
Next generations of HVDC technology and growing digitalization require more performance, better connectivity and scalability from control systems. As a part of the Architect team you are going to be involved in MACH platform strategy definition (both HW and SW), examining new technologies and supporting other R&D teams.
During daily work you will collaborate with key stakeholders, internal and external customers and coach younger members, therefore you should have a suitable mindset and collaboration skills.
Your responsibilities
Working in a team of cross functional MACH system architects with the goal of creating and maintaining the technical roadmap for the platform as well as documenting and maintaining the platform architecture.
Evaluate conceptual R&D initiatives, business needs and technology advancements in your field in order to ensure that the MACH platform is continuously improving.
Support customers, both internal and external, to collect needs and expectations. You will be given the opportunity to increase your network beyond MACH development and BU Grid Integration.
Analyse and prepare work packages for other SAFe teams to implement. Work packages that are determined by stakeholders to be included into the MACH platform. This will include detailing technical concepts, requirements, evaluating the Lean Business Case and assisting the Epic Owner.
Assist other teams and the business by supplying technical expertise and by keeping up to date with developments, standards and technical advancements within your domain of expertise.

Your background
You are a Senior R&D Engineer, or about to become a Senior R&D Engineer in the relevant field. You have completed higher education at university level and have proven experience within the relevant field of work.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken and you are comfortable to have discussions with customers. Beyond this you are either fluent in Swedish or working towards Swedish proficiency.
You thrive in working with development and enjoy taking lead on driving concepts and ideas from a vision on a piece of paper to finished products to be sold to customers.
You have a curious mind and do not shy away from challenges that might require you to obtain knowledge, or work hands-on, in order to complete.
You are meticulous in meeting customer needs and improve quality in your work output.
You understand deadlines, budgetary constraints and how the T&SD organization works and is funded, in a broader perspective. You are able to work independently within the technical and budgetary constraints of a task.
You enjoy collaborating and can present ideas and solutions to peers, internal colleagues and end customers.
You are proud of and take responsibility for the work you do at Hitachi ABB Power Grids.
