To come with us on this journey, the Volvo Group - with headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden - is seeking a talented and experienced M&A lawyer to join our Group Transaction & Commercial Legal team. This team of currently eight professionals plays a critical role in supporting the Volvo Group's global M&A activities, promoting legal compliance and efficient collaboration, and facilitating strategic business growth. As part of this dynamic team you will have the opportunity to work with experienced lawyers and other colleagues to contribute to the success of the Volvo Group's business initiatives within M&A, partnerships, alliances and beyond. The team is also driving alignment of Group wide legal topics and oversight of significant legal risks as well as efficiencies and coordination of the broader Group legal function. In addition, we are working with tools & technologies towards continuous improvement and modernization of ways of working.
In this role you would primarily provide expert legal advice and guidance on all aspects of M&A. You would collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including senior executives, business teams and finance teams, to support strategic decision-making and ensure legal compliance.
You have a degree from an accredited law school with a minimum of 7 years of experience as an M&A lawyer, preferably in a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department. You also have a proven ability to handle multiple complex transactions simultaneously and meet tight deadlines, with the ability to effectively collaborate and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization. And above all, sound business judgment and the skill to balance legal risks with business objectives is key.
Ideally, you would be based at our Gothenburg headquarters, but we are willing to discuss other locations.
