The Tube Division within SMT has a key role to play to support this ambitious growth agenda and to that end, is looking to secure key resources within our strategy and M&A team.


Job Summary
As an M&A analyst, you will support colleagues across the division to identify targets in line with our strategy. You will take responsibility for the preparation of the business case, analysing the suitability of the identified target and fit to the Tube Division strategy through to assisting the division team in deal execution. This involves coordination with a number of key stakeholders, including presenting to executive management. You will secure our M&A pipeline, constantly updating the status of key targets and our M&A activity with them.

Extensive global travel to project sites and acquisition targets will be an expected part of the role. The location of this role will be flexible, though we have a preference to be Asia based

Your main responsible includes:
• Gathering available information on a target company using public sources and key financial resources

• Creating financial valuations utilising a number of models, and evaluating in an industry context

• Supporting the preparation of business cases at each stage of our M&A evaluation

• Support business management in the execution of the deal

• Identify resources required for successful post acquisition integration

• Assis the wider strategy team with key business intelligence as required

Your profile
We are looking for someone with a Master's degree in finance related subject or relevant on the job experience, as well as a proven track record from a relevant industry. Ability to communicate effectively and present compelling business case to key stakeholders; Analytical mindset to identify opportunities fitting with our strategy; Critical financial analysis tools including valuation models; Capability of working in a matrix organisation in a complex global environment; Creativity & flexibility; Strategic thinking; Planning and organizing; Fluent in English. Other languages are a benefit
