LOCAL IT MANAGER
Metsä Group ICT in Husum is looking for a Local IT Manager (LIM) for a permanent position, starting from 1st of September 2017.
Job description
As a Local IT Manager (LIM) you will provide ICT Services for Metsä Board business unit in Husum, Sweden. You will have a strong focus on technical and mill level ICT support (manage and coordinate), aiming to ensure that ICT Services for the Husum business unit are being delivered according to agreed service levels.
You will be responsible for operational delivery of mill specific service items and/or service item groups (including local business unit specific applications), by
• providing and coordination direct 2nd level service support/maintenance
• coordinating of agreed 3rd party ICT partners
• mill onsite ICT Support management and resource coordination
• finance planning and budgeting
Prerequisites
You need to have deep ICT technology understanding alongside with key initiatives for local mill IT support, both practical and theoretical.
In order to strengthen Metsä Group's reputation as an organisation with superior ICT knowledge of all different aspects of ICT we expect you to have:
• an engineering degree in computing or automation
• some years of experience being developed through engineering or mill operations with a preference for both
• capability to enhance the feedback of technical information from the central ICT teams towards local businesses
• an ambition to act as a resource to local business to improve their ICT quality
• capability to identify intangible input and create technical tangible demand
• analytical, efficient, and cooperative skills with the ability to work and contribute proactively and independently, in teams and across the organization
• the ability to take responsibility in multi-cultural projects and tasks
• fluent Swedish and English
Essential job functions:
• Work requires an extensive knowledge of ICT technologies and mills' (process industry) automation IT processes, project management of business unit/campus/country specific ICT solutions
• Strong Business relationship management (account management) skills for local business stakeholders (regular review meetings, updating key business contacts, business unit specific ICT development plans, etc.)
• Strong organizational and workflow skills required as well as the ability to conceptualize and understand various ICT related challenges and issues
• Must have knowledge of a variety ICT sourcing activities, vendor selection practices, and agreement negotiations for the local / central ICT activities and projects
• Strong local demand management
• communication of any business unit ICT needs to relevant Group ICT colleagues (Heads of ICT, Service Owners, Application Owners, Resource Managers, Solution Owners, etc.)
• Analytical ability is required in order to gather and summarize data for reports, find solutions to various local ICT and automation IT incidents/problems, and prioritize work
• Conform with and abide by all regulations, policies and work procedures
• Able to travel domestically and internationally
Sound knowledge of ICT engineering design and project processes will be considered a strong asset.
