We are now searching for a Logistics Manager to our customer Ekman's head office in Gothenburg. As a logistics manager you will assist various global business divisions with logistic services related to sea, rail, and trucking solutions. The work involves close collaboration with your team, Ekman's business departments and external suppliers. At Ekman, you work according to the philosophy of always keeping focus on business partners and their needs so that you can offer the greatest possible competence. As a logistics manager your area of responsibility will for example include:
• Execution of internal customers logistical requests - I.E. spot shipments and projects.
• Maintaining internal and external customer relations.
• Establish, maintain and develop strategic supplier relations including contracts for warehousing and services such as stuffing of containers, loading of trucks, etc.
• Responsible for execution of Break Bulk shipping requirements globally.
• Handle the administrative side of cargo bookings.
• Global rate requests.
• Maintain statistics and records of shipment.
ProfilTo succeed in the role as a Logistics manager at Ekman's you must be structured, independent, efficient, analytical, have problem solving skills and be able to make quick decisions. As you will work in a global environment and make new contacts everyday, you must have excellent communicative and cooperative skills.
To be relevant for the position we believe that you have:
• A bachelor's degree within logistics or forwarding.
• Professional experience with a focus on logistics and global shipping.
• A deep knowledge of container shipping and Incoterms.
• Have good knowledge of business English in both speech and writing.
Additional knowledge relayed to Break Bulk transportation is considered a merit. In the event that you do not have previous experience of Break Bulk shipping, you will be trained internally to be able to gradually take over the responsibility.
