What you will do
In your role as Logistics Manager you will be part of the Supply Chain organization of NOVO Energy. The primary focus of the role will be to lead, grow and develop a team who design and implement logistic solutions for process equipment during the project phase, inbound transportation of and external warehousing for direct material during running production.
The Logistics Manager will be the key link between the stakeholders at NOVO, logistic partners (e.g. port of Gothenburg) and Northvolt central Logistics team.
In broad terms, be responsible for the end to end logistic solutions for process equipment and direct material, from supplier to installation or consumption, with high focus on QHSSE, schedule and budget.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the preparations, planning, co-ordination and execution of last mile transport, warehousing and last meter handling.
- Co-operation with long-haul transport team at Northvolt and the installation team at our site
- Lead the establishment and running operation of an external warehouse for direct material
- Take responsibility for inbound transportation of direct material to the external warehouse and to our site
- Take a lead role in developing and enhancing operational procedures
- Participate in structured and unstructured communication to ensure clarity around next steps and ultimate goals. Follow-up with stakeholders and against timelines
- Ensure QHSSE and compliance
- Continuously improve overall project logistics operations
About you:
You are a hands-on supply chain professional at heart. You understand the importance of planning before the execution and the sequence of events of a logistical process.
As a leader you are a natural when it comes to human interaction and managing a broad scope of activities together with a busy team and stakeholders. You care for people and you know how to celebrate good times together with your team, as well as pull through dire straits.
You have a high degree of experience within logistical operations, preferably in an industrial projects setting and you are absolutely excellent in multi-tasking and prioritizing. You understand the importance of structure and communication, especially across cultures and time zones, as means to ensure clarity and reach common goals within specific time frames.

Skills & Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience within logistics, including from industrial projects setting
- Detailed knowledge and experience of cargo and material handling operations
- Extensive experience in drafting, running and negotiating tenders for freight and warehouse/3PL solutions.
- A proven track record in leading and developing people
- Strong time management skills with the ability to maintain workflow while switching quickly between tasks, languages, cultures and time-zones
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English with the ability to prepare and deliver concise understandable information to co-workers, suppliers and other stakeholders
- Problem-solving, entrepreneurial attitude thriving in a dynamic team environment where no day is like the other
- IT savy

Our Gigafactory in Gothenburg will be one of the largest cell production facilities in Europe, with a potential annual cell production capacity of up to 50 gigawatt hours (GWh) - thereby enabling a supply of batteries for approximately half a million Volvo and Polestar cars per year. Our state-of-the-art R&D facility will gather leading expertise from all over the world, to create the next generation battery cells.
