hela Sverige Kongsberg Automotive, and the business segment Powertrain & Chassis (P&C), is a major supplier of powertrain systems and chassis related products for commercial and light duty vehicles. An opportunity has now arisen within our Logistics department in Mullsjö, Sweden.
Role description
As a manager of logistics, you will be responsible for managing a distribution outlet. This job will entail transacting with shipping companies to facilitate smooth distribution activities. You are responsible for planning and coordinating warehousing and transportation in the distribution chain. You will also direct forecasting, customer service, planning services and manage logistics personnel and direct daily operations. You will be part of the P&C plant management team and reports to Plant Manager in Mullsjö.
Responsibilities included are, but not limited to:
People management, performance development and coaching of team members.
Secure that operational and strategic work within team is performed in an effective and customer oriented way.
Drive a lean agenda and continues improvement within own team and in collaboration with other functions.
To maintain stock balance regarding raw, semi and finished materials and to keep SAP up to date regarding customer orders/forecasts.
To maintain planning parameters to be as optimized as possible and follow-up on forecast and make necessary corrections.
To prompt the use of quality methods to make it possible to meet the customer requirements of "Zero defects" and "Just in Time".
Drive an open customer dialog with key stakeholders and line managers with purpose to develop and stream line the organization.
Effectively implement and maintain the environmental system (internal/external) within the area of responsibility and keep the organization informed regarding changes and new requirements.
Candidate profile
We are looking for you with a minimum of completed Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics & Material management or equivalent. You demonstrate logistics/warehouse operational experience; ideally, at least 3-5 years' experience managing in a supply chain management with exposure to multiple customers and supplier partners. Experience in the Automotive industry is a strong advantage. You are an expert in MS Excel and good knowledge of SAP logistics application is preferable.
We believe that you are result driven, strategic, conceptual and innovative thinker. You have excellent organizational and multi-talking skills and adhering to deadlines and ensuring accuracy. You are highly adaptable and flexible to accept new ideas and procedures. Collaboration with other functions, sites, stakeholders and customers are of great importance, therefore communication skills are crucial and fluent in English and Swedish language skills are required.
