Logistics engineer, internal material flows

Unit/Department Description:
The planning and logistics department at Husqvarna AB is organized into two teams. One team is working with production planning and material control and the other team is working with internal logistics and warehousing.
Logistics engineering is one of the key elements to improve performance within the internal logistics and warehousing team. In the plant, these engineers focus mainly on optimizing the flow of components and products within the plant.
Position/Job Description:
The logistics engineer is part of the department supporting all assembly lines and functions within the assembly plant. They are responsible for optimizing material flows, optimizing the plant layout, new component set-up and packaging issues and are often highly involved in the later stages of product projects.
EssentialDuties:
• Sustain and develop plant material flow
• Setup new component areas
• Improve and develop plant systems, handling components
• Improve and develop working methods and processes for handling plant components and products
• Maintain component data in plant systems
• Maintain and improve packaging requirements
Preferred qualifications:
Education:
Minimum: High school degree and recognized qualification in logistics development
Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Engineering with Logistics experience or Master's degree in Logistics Engineering
Languages:
• Swedish - fluent - oral and written
• English is favorable - advanced - both oral and written
• Additional languages can be advantageous
Skills and Capabilities:
• Good communication skills, analytical and problem solving skills
• Clear understanding of basic logistic principles
• Skilled with presentation and database applications (e.g., within Microsoft Office)
• Driven, goal-minded and capable of self-management
• Understands the importance of customer service
