Who are we looking for?
To be successful in this role you should have experience in the ocean freight forwarding business or experience working with Logistics and Supply chain.
The daily tasks will include managing standard shipments of the oversea flows and ensuring that all production material transported by ocean, air and rail will arrive on time and according to plan to the company's production sites in Europe. Carrier management are a big part of this role so interaction with carriers and other stakeholders are the key. As a person, you need to be able to work both proactively and with problem solving when deviations occur to ensure the operation of production.
We are looking for a person with the following profile:
* Sc or M.Sc in Logistics, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
* Minimum 2 year experience in logistics or supply chain
* Strong customer-focus and service mind-set with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally
* Experience of managing multiple complex relationships and able to maintain composure whilst under pressure.
* Being a group-oriented player is important in this role.
* Good understanding of transportation documentation and export requirements
* Ability to communicate findings, make recommendations, and facilitate change
* Experience from truck or car industry
