To make this happen, we secure that all outgoing transportation is established and executed, cost efficiently and with exact precision, to the entire Volvo Cars organisation. What you'll do

The role, Logistics Engineer - Transport Planning, is located within the Outbound Logistics organisation (OBL). The role is operational with responsibility across a wide range of business areas within Volvo Cars. The purpose of the function is to ensure outbound distribution for cars produced globally. This function is critical to manage the timely shipping of cars on a daily basis. We are mandated and have a commitment to deliver on time, on budget with a service mind-set. Your main responsibilities will therefore be to book transports, monitor carrier transport performance and act on deviations. You will also:
* Drive Carrier Management to improve operational performance and Execute transport documentation for export markets
* Interact with stakeholders within Volvo Cars and Importers to address concerns or issues and report feedback regarding process improvements. This will involve travel to various sites in Sweden and Europe as needed.
* Monitor KPI's of appointed carriers and carry out regular reviews
* Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and internal stakeholders to facilitate a positive working environment

Do you fit the profile?

We think you have a B.Sc. degree within supply chain/logistics or 3-5 years equivalent relevant working experience as well as fluent English reading and writing skills. If you have an operational background and/or experience in logistic processes, transportation or forwarding business, that knowledge is highly beneficial.

Who are you?

To succeed in this role you have the ability to communicate findings, make recommendations and facilitate change. You also can take difficult conversations both internally and externally to secure deliverables. You have a strong knowledge and experience in MS Excel and understand operational planning and resource allocation. As you will interact with different stakeholders, internally and externally you have great communication skills. To fully enjoy this position you are a team player with a holistic approach that appreciates to work in a positive and motivating environment. As most of communication will be carried out in English, you have strong English language skills both spoken and written. To conclude you are a person that likes to take initiative and to collaborate with others.
