Our ambition is to become the leader within sustainable logistics and our mission is to globally develop, manage and optimize inbound logistics by building flows with minimal environmental impact, high quality and minimal total logistic cost.
Supply Chain Development, OIS, is the strategic department within OI, responsible for packaging development and developing the logistics network and along with sustainability and IT strategies. OISP is the group with the responsibility for the Packaging Development. Moreover OI consists of operative departments for transport booking, transport optimization, quality management, administration and business support.
Now OISP is facing an exciting and important development step. A new global packaging strategy needs to be established, aiming for sustainability and cost efficiency throughout the whole supply chain. Due to this a cross functional forum (Packaging Development Forum) has been set up to start up the challenging development work along with a global process forum (Scania Packaging Group).
Job description
As a member of OISP, Packaging Development you will be a key player when it comes to shaping the future of Scania's packaging strategy. We offer a job in an international environment with multiple contact surfaces, both internally and externally. Packaging has impact on the processes from R&D, purchasing, production and logistics. Communication and co-operations are therefore the key to success to increase the transparency in the supply chain and reduce waste in our processes.
Your main task will be;
Initiate, participate and lead projects and assignments within Packaging Development.
Lead and participate in cross functional forum.
Process- and Business development
Working in 3 - 5 - 10 years perspective developing Scania 's packaging strategy.
Your profile
You have a master of science or similar with experience from logistics. Relevant background could be project management, logistics development or packaging engineering. You also have 3-5 years documented work experience as a business developer and required knowledge within project management and packaging. You will work in an international environment that requires you to be fluent in English in terms of both spoken and written. Furthermore you have a great interest in logistics.
You need to be positive, communicative and have a talent for connecting with new people in this position. Also you have a driven and open personality which easily can see the big picture and new opportunities. Furthermore, you are structured as a person and when you performing your duties. You have a genuine interest in logistics and a desire to develop both yourself and Scania within the area.
