What's in it for you?
You will be a part of Central Logistic Engineering (CLE) within Supply Chain Management (SCM) that covers strategy, plan and operational responsibility for all logistic and transport related activities. We ensures the supply of production parts, non-production material and vehicles to their required destinations.
As a Logistic Engineer at Volvo Cars you will have a crucial role in creating new logistic flows into Torslanda Car Plant and surroundings. You get the opportunity to work with development and industrialisation of logistics process, in a company that always strive to be in the lead of the development. You will also be working on a global level and be able to take advantage Volvo Cars network all over the world.
What you'll do
CLE is responsible for industrialisation of new logistic processes in car plants, all in order to meet the needs of the new product programs and other larger process or flow changes. As a Logistic Engineer for the process of Yard, Material intake & Warehousing, you will lead logistic projects within this area including engineering, planning an industrialising, you will also drive and control logistic investment within this projects. The process responsibility also includes specifying of IT changes needed to support the new process and secure the tests and implementation of IT.
You will participate, and give input, towards logistic industrial structure and strategies. Further you will contribute regarding global logistic commonality in your area.
Your main responsibilities:
* Plan, engineer and implement yard layout, WoW flows, secure capacity and storage.
* Provide technical expertise in the area of yard/material intake/ware housing.

Qualifications:
* Education in Logistic or Supply Chain management
* Experience in logistics and material handling
* Excellent knowledge in MS Office
* Knowledge and experience in LEAN Logistics
* Fluent in English and Swedish, written and spoken
* Meritorious, Automotive logistic experience and IT project experience
