Logical Data Modeler
Position Summary:
This opportunity has arisen due to continued expansion of the Teradata Nordic team. The role requires a strong understanding, and experience of, building enterprise logical data models in a close dialogue with client business personnel.
Key Areas of Responsibility:
• Take the lead role in customizing Teradata's industry specific logical data models (LDMs) to match the scope of customer projects and customer specific requirements
• Lead the mapping of customer data into the data models as the first stage of the ETL process
• Understand the clients' existing data architecture and identify and mitigate data model related project risks
• Provide the LDM knowledge needed to strategically and accurately position Teradata's offering against competitive offerings
• Provide thought leadership and best practice to all client engagements
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with key client personnel ensuring the client's needs are met in a professional manner
• Work with Account Executives (and account team) to generate new business within current Teradata customer environments
• Advise other technical consultants supporting specific projects
• Engage in knowledge transfer activities and expertise to other Teradata Professional Services associates.
Education / Experience Requirements:
• Experience implementing complex logical data models on data warehouses supporting multiple users
• Have a good understanding of enterprise data architectures, customer, product and asset being key areas.
• Over 10 years of IT experience
• Teradata experience is desirable, but not required. Teradata certification is a plus
• Client interaction and consulting skills required, including to management and business people
• Self-motivated and a demonstrable team player
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science
• Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills. English language skills are essential.
