Our Localization Team is an ambitious and dynamic organization, always striving to make our games playable and fun for every part of the world. And now we?re looking for a new team member for our established team in Stockholm!
Your role within our Kingdom
You will be in charge of managing the localization of all of one of our Studios? games and supporting material. We need a strong project manager? someone who can communicate with ease and work cross functionally with multiple stakeholders to ensure our amazing games will be the next sensation!
Main responsibilities include:
• Managing localization projects for our game teams based in London.
• Liaising between internal stakeholders and vendors to ensure seamless translations and a great user experience.
• Supporting our vendors in achieving high quality translations by managing reference material and developing style guides and glossaries for the game terms.
• Checking and editing translations with a focus on clarity, cultural nuance and fun.
• Helping to improve all parts of the localization process with the Localization Team and setting best practices.
• Staying up-to-date with the company?s catalogue of games and focusing on continuously improving the quality of in-game text, web features and marketing copy.
Skills to create thrills
• Native-level proficiency in English language
• Excellent written, spoken and communication skills
• Solid understanding of website design, app design and web technologies
• Proven experience with translating, writing or copy-editing
• Good understanding of the specificities of localization in gaming, ideally with an experience in casual or mid-core
• Creativity, and the ability to turn ideas into actions
• Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks, with a keen attention to detail
• Strong team player with a supportive attitude
• Ability to work independently, pro-actively and to meet deadlines
• Strong interest in casual games and social media
Tasty bonus skills
• Degree in Linguistics, Media Communication or Public Relations or professional experience in translations.
• Experience with CAT or translation tools (Trados, MemoQ, etc.) is a big plus!
• Experience within the gaming industry.
• Experience with a translation or localization company.
• Previous experience working abroad or for an international company.
This position is a permanent role based in Stockholm with regular travel to London.
