You will be part of Robotics and Motion, a division, which offers products, solutions and services that increase productivity and energy efficiency.

Tasks:

As we aggressively move into the digital era, business insight and knowledge of technology make Business Engagement Managers (BEMs) key players in the future success of ABB. The BEMs serve as the face of IS for our business colleagues, continuously advising them on more effective use of automation. They have the ability to engage in business strategy conversations, possess a thorough understanding of the global IS technical strategy, as well as development processes and can adeptly drive adoption of global and common solutions or development of custom solutions to address critical business needs.

Examples of duties/responsibilities as Local Division IS Business Engagement Manager include the following:

• Executes as the single IS interface to the local business unit, supporting and building satisfaction with IS services by assessing expectations; making sure actions are taken to close any gaps; and influencing stake holder's perceptions of IS service
• In concert with the Global Division and BU IS Business Engagement Managers collect, qualify and prioritize the demand generated in your area of responsibility within the Local Division and Local Business Unit Robotics in Sweden
• Recommend business-fit IS solutions and secure implementation and support
• Manage business critical escalations
• Ensure alignment to given IS goals, compliance with ABB IS Enterprise Architecture, any relevant IS Standards and any other applicable ABB Group Directives and ABB Group Guidelines
• Accountable for the total IS budget for the Local Division, in alignment with the Global BU IS Business Engagement Manager
• Manage a small team of IS resources.

Requirements:

Ideally, you hold a university degree with a technical background, together with relevant work experience. This position requires a leader with good communication skills, broad application knowledge and deep business knowledge.

We would also like you to have experience from working with business leaders & managers to understand business strategies in a matrixed environment. Strong people skills, including team management, are equally important in this role since you will be working with all types of IS users in all business functions.

As a person, we believe you can stay focused under pressure, are eager to learn and lead by example. Since you will be working in a global, multicultural organization, we expect you to be fluent in English, both written and spoken alike. It is an advantage if you have a basic understanding of Swedish, as the position is located in Västerås, Sweden.
