Skillful embedded software developer with hardware interest for loader development
Description:
Flash security is looking for a highly skilled and experienced embedded software developer that has hardware knowledge and/or interest. The work will include development and maintenance of loader software. Loaders are used to download software images and executables etc to the flash memory or solid state disc of the phones. Loader software runs directly from the RAM memory on the hardware. There is no operating system to work with on this level.
Loaders are usually specific for phone platforms and phone platform vendors. However, our objective is to make the loader communication and solution for Sony Ericsson products as generic as possible to enable more reuse cross platforms and platform vendors. This will make the reuse of the existing Sony Ericsson solutions and infrastructures for downloading software in factories, at after market, and at end users more efficient.
Flash security currently works with Sony Ericsson products in most segments (Linux, OSE, Symbian, and OpenPlug). Our work is typically started early in the projects on the very first prototypes.
Qualifications:
• Master of Science in computer science, software engineering, electronic engineering or equivalent.
Experience in following areas:
• Professional experience of C/C++ programming in embedded systems
• Hardware knowledge/interest, for example ARM and/or OMAP knowledge
• Some assembler programming
• Real time programming
• Software debug tools for example Lautherbach
• ClearCase
