We are now looking for a new colleague to join our Core Product Platform department.
WHAT DO I DO?
Our team, Core Platform Internal Chips, is responsible for the Linux kernel and drivers making sure our internal chips can perform its best in terms of system performance, image quality, video analytics etc. This is the foundation for the majority of Axis fantastic camera products. The position is hands-on in a very skilled and technically strong team that values individual growth, teamwork and great spirit.
WHAT'S MY RESPONSIBILITIES?
Experimenting and developing new functionality to enhance our platform portfolio as well as looking ahead will be part of your daily work.
You work in the platform with Linux kernel and device drivers in the core runtime environment. Enabling new product features and mastering complex problems triggers your engineering skills to walk the extra mile. To optimize embedded system performance and power usage is very important for us and your engineering skills will make this possible for us.
You like to work in a team with high pace, to secure the early board bring-up and utilize HW diagnostics. And of course, continue the thrilling development path until we can launch the new competitive products.

QUALIFICATIONS?
You are an experienced engineer with a genuine interest in SW development close to HW SoC platforms and always take full responsibility to deliver quality solutions. You are challenged by, and enjoy, complex bug hunting, optimization and to truly enhance quality in the platforms and products we develop. As Axis values teamwork it is important that you contribute with good spirit and welcome the different agile working methodologies used in our projects. You are an energetic person with the ability to work unsupervised and interaction with new people comes naturally to you.
In addition, we believe that you have:
Strong skills in Linux kernel and device driver frameworks or experience from similar development close to HW SoC platforms.
Master's degree in computer science, physics, mathematics, electrical engineering or similar.
Excellent skills in English, both written and verbal.
