We develop perception and localization solutions for autonomous vehicles, a truly inspiring area. This is how you could make an impact
As Lidar Systems Engineer you will lead the cross-functional work within V.A.S to define sensor architecture, requirements, verification and validation plans and secure on-time solutions for our projects. You will also work closely together with me, the Global Technology Manager, to define the technical roadmap for the Lidar sensors.
When you read this and look at the responsibility of the job, we fully understand that is sounds like a challenging task. It will be challenging but also something that will make a difference for our world. So do not worry, as Lidar Systems Engineer in V.A.S, you will cooperate closely with the organization as we are all in this together. You will collaborate closely with Domain Architects and Teams from other V.A.S. technology areas to share extensive product knowledge and learn in order to successfully launch desirable transport solutions for our customers.
Who are you?
To succeed with these responsibilities, we believe you have good leadership and communication skills since this opportunity is about collaborative teamwork. For us this means that you should be a good listener, fluent in English, and that it is easy for you to connect with other people. We also believe a key quality for this role is a solution orientated and positive spirit with a desire to improve status-quo. You are good at defining and balancing requirements and it is preferable that you have several years of broad experience in system design for software and hardware architectures. Also, you should have:
University degree in Mechatronics, Physics, or other relevant area
Several years of experience of LiDAR technology
Knowledge about perception algorithms
Knowledge in Electrical & Electronics architecture and safety critical electronics hardware
In addition, experiences from development of autonomous vehicles or advanced driver assistance functions are beneficiary for this role.
