DevOps Ingenjör

Leica Geosystems and the division of Machine Control are developing advanced software for the civil engineering and construction industry.

We now want to strengthen our R&D team with a DevOps Engineer. We are looking for someone with passion for Linux Server administration and networking configuration, and an interest in developing Web services in Django. You will be managing the configuration and maintenance of our cloud hosted systems and working closely with the development team on features in iCON telematics. You and your colleagues in the team will also contribute to our Machine Control development team to improve the communication platform used as part of our Machine Solutions.

You will be part of our office team located in nice, newly renovated premises in Marievik. As Leica is a global company you will also have a lot of interaction with our colleagues from Switzerland, Australia and Denmark (among others).

The role will require travel a few trips a year, mainly in Europe.

Your skills

• 2+ years of professional DevOps engineering experience

• BSc/MSc degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Strong and extensive knowledge of Linux Server Administration

• Experience managing Cloud infrastructure in Amazon Web Services

• Deep knowledge of relational and non-relational databases, such as MySQL and Cassandra

• Proven experience in Network administration and set up

• Proven experience with the tools used to run a high traffic web service, such as HAProxy, nginx, gunicorn, Tomcat or similar

• Fluent in English

• Bonus: Web service development experience
