We are looking to hire a Legal Counsel with a focus on privacy and data governance to join our Group Legal function that works with Privacy, Data & IT at Securitas, where we break new ground daily with our disruptive range of products.This is an opportunity to join an international leading business in a growing technology and service industry that positively impacts clients and communities worldwide.
ROLE
We are looking for an energetic, proactive, and dedicated Legal Counsel with excellent skills in privacy regulation and experience in data governance.
Your role will include two key parts:
Support Securitas Digital and the Securitas IT team on privacy and data governance questions. Develop, maintain, and execute a data-driven strategy to transform our business and create new digital services in a compliant and efficient manner. This includes drafting necessary guidelines and other documents, performing training, conducting risk assessments, and supporting the organization in mapping legal frameworks that impact our use and protection of all data sources.
Participate as a privacy advisor in global projects and work closely with data analysts and product owners to ensure privacy by design, conduct transfer impact assessments, and provide sufficient information internally and externally within services and products.

Other responsibilities
Draft templates, standards and other supporting documents which can turn regulatory requirements and Securitas' privacy strategy into tangible business actions,
Develop and improve internal work processes between different teams, functions and countries,
Monitor legal trends within data protection, big data and tech, and together with your team members, analyze the impact on the organization,
Cooperate with the local privacy officers as well as divisional privacy compliance officers in Securitas' other divisions,
Provide relevant and useful legal training to colleagues,
Support the business in the completion of risk assessment both within the privacy area but also in relation to other regulatory and contractual requirements in the security industry.

REQUIREMENTS

As Legal Counsel at Securitas, you will work closely with colleagues worldwide from our headquarters and throughout our Securitas Digital and Securitas IT organization, divisions, and countries where we operate.
Therefore, it is important that you are business-oriented and able to provide practical and actionable advice in a user-friendly manner. Excellent communication skills and a cooperative mindset are imperative.
The successful candidate will always play with and for the team. They need to be social, fun, smart, and have a strong academic record. You must enjoy working in a flexible environment of a fast-developing and growing business organization. The right candidate needs to be analytical and a structured thinker, but also driven, service-minded and prone to take initiative and ownership. You will need to provide pragmatic and sound advice with a risk-reward-based approach, working closely with the operational team.
You should have a law degree and at least 5 years of experience working as a lawyer in big-tech, data analytics and data protection. Additionally, you should have strong oral and reading skills in English.
