hela Sverige Hansa Biopharma is a fast-growing biopharmaceutical company that is developing immunomodulatory treatments for enabling transplantations, rare immunoglobulin G (IgG)-mediated autoimmune conditions, gene therapy and cancer.
We are now looking for a legal Counsel that will be part of our legal team at our HQ in Lund.
What you will do:
The Legal Counsel will be reporting to the General Counsel and will be a member of Hansa 's growing Legal & Compliance function. In this, the Legal Counsel will work with the General Counsel, as well as internal and external legal advisors, to support and protect Hansa 's interests. This includes acting as primary support for its platform technology, therapeutic platforms and franchises, providing advice and managing contractual matters for those areas.
The role regularly interacts with the Research and Development function and provides support for other departments and teams as needed. Working in collaboration with internal and external counsel, the Legal Counsel will advise on a variety of issues, including research collaborations, clinical trial agreements, promotional and medical material review, and related legal advice, as well as compliance (in particular data privacy) matters.
The responsibilities in this role includes e.g. acting as a Business Partner in all activities relating to contractual negotiations (including licensing) and company 's statutory obligations; advise on all legal matters related to Hansa 's business activities, including healthcare legislation, data privacy, product liability, securities, and other laws relevant to the commercialization of pharmaceutical products; draft, review and edit business contracts in a multijurisdictional environment; advise on corporate matters; as well as assisting in the development and implementation of company policies and procedures.
Who you are:
You have a Swedish Law Degree (LL.M.) and around three years relevant working experience for the role as in-house counsel and/or from reputable law firms. You have strong knowledge and experience from (bio-)pharma and in advising business stakeholders on legal and compliance issues at all levels of a commercial stage biopharma organization.
You have strong skills in managing cross-functional and/or divisional projects and you are fluent in English and Swedish. If you speak another language such as German or French, that is an advantage. You also have significant experience, and proven ability to effectively engage and manage associates from widely varying backgrounds and functions within a dispersed organization. You are commitment to excellence in all activities and is both pragmatic and goal orientated.

The Company 's lead product candidate, imlifidase, has been granted conditional approval in the European Union to desensitise highly sensitised adult kidney transplant patients with a positive crossmatch against an available deceased donor. Commercial launch of imlifidase in select European countries is ongoing. Hansa has established a new function, International Markets, to commercialise markets outside of Europe and in the US.
Hansa 's research and development program is also advancing the Company 's enzyme technology to develop the next generation of IgG-cleaving enzymes with potentially lower immunogenicity, rendering them suitable for repeat dosing in relapsing autoimmune diseases and oncology. Hansa Biopharma is based in Lund, Sweden and has operations in other European countries and the US.
