We are looking for a Legal Counsel that will play an instrumental role in the building and further development of AniCura 's Legal Function.
About the role
In this role you will play an important part in shaping and implementing the legal support structure for a multi-national and rapidly growing group of companies. The role comes with a lot of responsibility and opportunity to work with exciting strategical projects and a wide variety of legal matters across AniCura 's different businesses, functions and jurisdictions.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Working in close collaboration with the Head of Legal, your key responsibilities will include:
• Providing and coordinating legal guidance and support in major strategic, multi jurisdictional projects;
• Providing and coordinating legal guidance and support to commercial teams and other group functions;
• Supporting deal teams in connection with M&A-transactions;
• Developing and implementing template contracts, general terms & conditions, other legal template documents and processes/structures;
• Mapping regulatory requirements relevant for the veterinary industry in AniCura 's different markets and assisting the business in navigating such requirements;
• Managing and collaborating with external counsel in various jurisdictions; and
• Managing expectations from a variety of stakeholders at different levels of the Mars and AniCura organisations.
You will report to the AniCura Group Head of Legal. The role will preferably be based in Stockholm, Sweden and involves business travel from time to time. The position is full-time and permanent.
You are expected to have:
• A Swedish or foreign LL.M. degree.
• At least 5 years of experience from practicing commercial law at a well renowned law firm or inhouse at a multinational company - ideally both.
• Experience from working with M&A- and other complex projects in an international context.
• Working knowledge and experience from a variety of commercial law disciplines, including corporate law, employment law and competition law.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Swedish and ideally an additional European language.
• Strong business acumen and ability to deliver commercially oriented legal advice
