We are now looking for 3 Legal Counsels to join the Legal Team in Västerås.
The Positions:
1. Legal Counsel Services & Procurement
Delivering legal advice for our Aftersales business (e.g. material supply, vehicle maintenance and vehicle refurbishment) by providing all legal advice in public tender processes, such as analysis, commentary, drafting and negotiating contractual terms and supporting the execution of the resulting projects.
Delivering legal advice to our global procurement organization (securing the flow down of commitments from our customer contracts to our supplier contracts, negotiating supplier contracts and supplier claims)
The main legal areas for the team are commercial law, public procurement law, competition law, IP, and dispute
2. Legal Counsel Rolling Stock
Delivering legal advice to our New Build business (design, production and delivery of new railway vehicles) by providing all legal advice in public tender processes, such as analysis, commentary, drafting and negotiating contractual terms and supporting the execution of the resulting projects.
The main legal areas for the team are commercial law, public procurement law, competition law and IP.
3. Legal Counsel Propulsion and Control
Responsibility for the legal support to bids, projects and sales as well as negotiations in various countries abroad. This includes the preparation of bids, strategy support, reviewing and drafting of all kind of contractual documents, bond management, coordination with other functions such as Structured Finance and Tax, Risk Management and Insurance.
Handling of the Corporate Law matters related to the BT legal entities in Sweden
Site-related matters Västerås - legal advice and support for site-related matters, e.g. procurement, claims, supply management, R&D, leases, etc.
Roll-out and training on legal matters, terms & conditions, policies and internal rules and regulations to management and other functions, mainly the local Site Management Sales, Procurement and Project Management.
Qualifications:
• Swedish Master of Law (LL.M)
• 3-5 years commercial legal experience, whereof at least 3 years in an international law firm and/or in a legal department of a multinational company
• Proven ability to explain complex legal issues to non-lawyers
• Proven ability to understand technical matters and communicate with other functions
• Proven experience of working in teams and against deadlines
• Ability to build and maintain strong business relationships
• Speak Swedish and have an excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
• Personal skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and good judgment
• Strong commercial and business interest
• The ability to see the bigger picture, always with the customer focus at heart
• Energetic and proactive approach
• Sense of pragmatism and can do attitude
