Group Purchasing is a central purchasing function at NCC, responsible for common processes, tools, category strategies and international agreements at NCC.

We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join us, you will be part of a team with representatives from all Nordic countries which supports NCC's Business Areas. The successful candidate should demonstrate a collaborative, business and solution-oriented mindset, driven by the possibility to make an important contribution to NCC 's ongoing development initiatives, e g integrated supply chain and the improvement of NCC ways of working within purchasing in general.

The role as Legal Counsel at NCC Group Purchasing
As Legal Counsel you provide general legal support with regards to any matters at Group Purchasing. An important part o f the role is to identify, support and manage legal, contract and compliance risk in NCC's various purchasing categories. As part of the role, the development and support of common policies, routines, and processes is also important to support purchasing processes in NCC Group. You will work closely together with legal counsellors from different Business Areas and different countries to secure that the common ways of working are implemented within the NCC Group.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Provide legal support to all stakeholders within Group Purchasing, including but not limited to drafting, reviewing, and negotiating agreements.
• Be part of relevant category teams and reference teams as well as provide legal, contract and compliance risk assessment in various purchasing categories
• Develop guidelines, tools, templates where needed for various stakeholders within Group Purchasing, and overviewing those in Business Areas
• Managing disputes with suppliers whose agreements are entered into by Group Purchasing.
• Provide advice and support in development and support of common policies, routines, and processes.
• Provide training, educational materials etc. where needed for various stakeholders within Group Purchasing.

Your profile
We're looking for a business- and solution-oriented Legal Counsel who's great at building relationships. It 's essential that you possess high ethical and professional standards and demonstrate pro-activity and initiative attitude. Your excellent interpersonal communication skills enable you to gain trust and ability to network with ease across multiple functions and units. As a team-player, you enjoy cooperating with others, but you also have the motivation to work independently and take ownership of your responsibilities.

We see that you;

• Have a Master of Laws (LL.M.) or equivalent.
• Have minimum 5-7 years of experience from a reputable law firm and/or working as legal counsel in a large organization.
• Express yourself fluent in Swedish/Scandinavian and English, both in speech and writing.
• Have experience in change management efforts in Nordic and complex organizations.
• Show a high degree of curiosity and creativity in dealing with situations and topics.
• Proven skills in various legal areas, especially construction law, commercial law, contract law, and general knowledge of GDPR.
• Previous experience from Purchasing and the Construction industry is a merit, but not a requirement.

Additional information
The position will be at NCC Headquarters in Solna, but a placement at other Nordic offices could also be possible. The position may require travelling 2-3 days a month within the Nordic countries.
