An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented IT/Tech lawyer to join our Legal Affairs team, guiding and supporting development, sourcing and sales activities across Tetra Pak's businesses. The Legal Affairs function is headed up by the Tetra Pak Group General Counsel who leads a global team of world class lawyers, patent and trademark attorneys and corporate governance and risk management professionals.
The position will be based in Lund (Sweden) or Modena (Italy), and will report to the Chief Counsel, Legal Affairs, Automation & Digital.
What you will do
Advise on the development and deployment of new tech and digital offerings
Draft, review, negotiate and advise stakeholders across the entire range of development, supply and sales contracts (software licensing, SaaS, software development, IT/Tech etc.) as well as on their interaction with other regulatory areas such as competition laws, export control and data protection
Keep track of existing and emerging regulations and laws in the automation and digital space, such as cybersecurity, data protection, data and AI.
Keep track of emerging trends, technologies and industry practices in the automation and digital space.
Provide general legal, governance, risk and strategic support
Develop and support the continuous improvement of related policies, processes (including risk assessment), template agreements, notices, checklists and other tools
Train and develop business and legal colleagues in legal and governance areas
Help to manage external legal advisers
Facilitate close teamwork with the Automation & Digital team and other members of the Legal Affairs team as well as with specialists in various technology areas and other internal stakeholders.
We believe you have
You are a highly skilled IT/Tech lawyer with a law degree from a reputable university
You have minimum of 5 years' experience working for a leading law firm and/or in-house in a multinational business of comparable size.
You have experience in drafting and negotiation of tech transactions and licences (including software licenses) and knowledge of cybersecurity, data and AI is a prerequisite.
Experience in keeping track of existing and emerging cybersecurity, data protection, data and AI regulations and laws in the automation and digital space would be an advantage.
You are fluent in English, both written and spoken, with excellent drafting and communication skills.
As a person you are a driven, resourceful and quick self-starter with the ability to prioritize and manage senior stakeholder expectations. You are a strategic thinker who can apply their intellect and creativity in providing sound risk assessments and innovative legal solutions. You are practical, persuasive and a team-player with the ability to collaborate at all levels and across divisions, geographies and cultures.
