Over the past 10 years Star Stable Entertainment has grown to become a multi-channel entertainment company; the home of an independent record label, short-form animations, book series, comics, and mobile apps. We are currently on an adventure to scale our unique impact in the world with several new games and product lines in development across desktop/mobile.
We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our amazing Legal department to strengthen our growth and business. Our Legal department supports the entirety of the organisation on a broad range of questions and our goal is to continuously assess and guide the teams on legal issues using a flexible and pragmatic approach.

What you'll be doing:
• Provide ongoing legal support to SSE's different departments on a wide range of legal business matters in the areas of e.g. IPR, IT, marketing, privacy and consumer related matters in a global environment. The world is our playground and you'll also have the benefit to cooperate with our talented counsels across the world.
• Review, draft and advise our business teams on a wide range of agreements such as SAAS and development agreements, publishing, production, licensing and distribution agreements as well as various types of music agreements.
• Produce, update and implement policies, templates and other relevant documents.
• Host engaging, informative, yet fun training sessions for our teams.
• Act as a pragmatic business partner in all aspects of our work. Develop creative solutions together with the stakeholders to support business needs while mitigating risk in a constantly evolving industry.
• Our work aims to be innovative and is always evolving. In your role you'll be contributing to the ongoing development of our legal team and the way we operate. We strive to operate far from the traditional legal frames and we're building our function step by step.
To thrive in this role, we believe that you have:
• A Swedish legal degree.
• At least three years previous working experience as a Legal Counsel in a reputable law firm/in-house legal department.
• Strong knowledge and skills in a wide range of legal areas- particularly a robust understanding of agreement law, GDPR, IPR, IT law, marketing law and consumer protection laws.
• Outstanding negotiation and research skills.
• A proactive, creative and solution-oriented mindset.
• A quick, correct and easy to understand way of providing legal guidance to our stakeholders.
• Ability to work cross functionally and collaborate with various stakeholders.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Solid business understanding in combination with high proficiency across several legal and compliance disciplines.
• Experience of working with complex technical solutions in a global context is meritorious. Experience from the gaming industry is a plus.
• Good organisational, prioritisation and time-management skills are key.
