We are now looking for a We are now looking for a Legal Counsel to join our talented Legal team.
How you will make an impact
As an in-house Legal Counsel at Epidemic Sound, you work in a specialized legal team of ten people that is tightly integrated with the business. You will have the opportunity to work broadly across legal fields in supporting our mission to soundtrack the world. The person we are looking for will in particular have a special focus on supporting and working closely with the Music team, giving you the opportunity to further develop your skills in the complex and challenging legal field of music rights.
Key responsibilities:
• Handling agreements with composers, performing artists and producers.
• Drafting various types of music related and other asset agreements, such as music video agreements, as well as other kinds of agreements.
• Working with rights enforcement related matters.
• Assisting in and handling various music and copyright related matters and processes as well as other legal matters, in various jurisdictions.
• Conducting legal research relating to a variety of legal matters and jurisdictions.
You will be part of the legal team based at our HQ in Stockholm and report to the Team lead for the Legal Music team.
Who you are
In order for you to succeed in this role, we believe you are/have;
• Highly skilled with a university law degree.
• 2+ years of working experience at a law firm within the IP/copyright area or as legal counsel at a fast paced music or media oriented company or organization.
• Experience in drafting IP related agreements.
• A strong interest in and understanding of copyright and especially music rights.
• Strong organization, communication, negotiation, prioritization and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work well with others in a team and cross-functional environments, as well as independently.
• Work comfortably and efficiently in a fast paced environment.
• Fluent in Swedish and English, both written and spoken, with excellent drafting skills.
