FLIR is now establishing a new role for a Legal Counsel to be based in Täby, Stockholm, and to support FLIR 's business internationally.
Job Description
You will work with a wide range of legal issues including trade control issues and commercial agreements such as distribution and supply agreements as well as transactions and management of claims and disputes. The majority of sales are international and you will work with many international counterparties, both internal and external. You will report into and be a member of the FLIR legal team but also be considered part of the local management team and will be a key person in the organization. You will be the go-to person for all legal questions that arise and one day will not be like another.
You will be working out of FLIR 's facilities in Täby, Sweden and report to the Deputy General Counsel based in Germany.
Who are you?
You have a law degree from either the US or EU and you are an experienced lawyer with at least five years of qualified legal experience. To be successful in this role, you will need to have previous experience from an in-house position. You need to have a genuine interest in business and have to be comfortable in taking a stance with regard to legal questions. In order to succeed you will have to be a pragmatic lawyer with an ability to prioritize and have excellent communications skills. Furthermore, you are a person with a large portion of common sense and you are used to making legal risk-assessments.
You will have to have some experience or knowledge of trade control issues. Preferably, you will also have experience from working in an international technology company and contract negotiations in an international setting. Your previous experiences have made you comfortable with working with a wide range of legal tasks in a fast-paced environment.
