Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter:
SPECIFIC SUBJECT DESCRIPTION:
Public health science concerns population health at local, national and international levels. The focus is factors that influence health development in society such as poverty, social injustice, gender, ethnicity and life style.
JOB ASSIGNMENTS
This position is directed at teaching responsibilities such as planning the section's public health programs and coordination of the section's other teaching obligations. Included is further course responsibility and in collaboration with other teachers plan, organize and administer courses in the public health programs. Other tasks include work with common program questions and collaboration within the academy concerning pedagogics and other questions related to education and teaching. Included, finally, are also pedagogic development, development of collaboration with other programs at and outside the section and support of teachers' competence development.

ELIGIBILITY:
The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. For the position as lecturer the applicant must have a university education at advanced level in public health are or equivalent and has shown pedagogical skills.
ASSESSMENT
Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. The first assessment criterion will be pedagogical and administrative skills. In addition, experience of independent management and higher administration of pedagogic work within public health and ability to cooperate is an advantage. PhD and the fulfilment of higher pedagogical education is considered a merit. Eperience from work within the health care and international collaboration or experience is a merit. The candidate is expected to teach in both Swedish and English. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational programme within the first year of employment.
