hela Sverige The Institute of Health and Care Sciences offers a number of undergraduate and postgraduate programmes for nurses, radiographers, midwives and specialist nurses. The basic training courses for nurses and radiographers lead to a professional degree as well as a bachelor's degree. The training of midwives and the different courses for specialist nurses lead to a professional registration in combination with a master's degree. All professional programmes lead to a professional registration. Moreover, the freestanding courses are offered at an advanced level, offering the possibility to continue studying towards a master's degree in one of the Institute's main subjects; nursing, reproductive and perinatal health, radiography and health care pedagogics. The Institute also offers a postgraduate programme leading to a PhD degree in Health Care Sciences.
SUBJECT AREA DESCRIPTION: The subject of nursing develops the knowledge about health and having a good life despite the presence of illness and/or disability. Another development area in nursing is the knowledge about a peaceful and dignified death. In nursing, it is not the illness nor the disability, but people's experiences, interpretations and reactions to the illnesses and diseases that form the focal point.
JOB ASSIGNMENTS: The position is based mainly within the training programme for nurses with a specialisation in Theater Nursing, however teaching in subject related elements on a first cycle level may be involved. The duties consist of planning, teaching, the distribution of summative assessments and the evaluation of the education. It is expected that the candidate will make active efforts towards achieving the institution's goals, work in accordance with the business plan and participate in planned joint meetings and activities at the Institute. The applicant is expected to be able to teach in Swedish.
ELIGIBILITY:Completed university education at the least advanced level in Nursing or Health Care Pedagogics and demonstrated pedagogical skills. Qualification as a registered nurse and specialist nurse with a specialization in Theater Nursing.
ASSESSMENT: Primarily teaching expertise. Upon appointment, great significance will be given to the candidate's current clinical experience from theater nursing as well as the quality and breadth of teaching qualifications. Particularly meritorious are demonstrated scientific expertise and previous experience from research projects and relevant publications for the subject. In the selection for the right candidate, attention will be given to a demonstrated ability to collaborate, a flexible approach with groups of teachers and students together with administrative skills. The applicant is expected to teach in Swedish.
