Kort beskrivning av företaget: The unit for Innovation and Entrepreneurship has a strong focus on education and outreach collaboration projects, with a long term focus to build a research platform linked to the main subject area of business creation and entrepreneurship in biomedicine. The unit currently give courses on both graduate and postgraduate level, and the major activities are connected to delivering the Master's programme for Business Creation and Entrepreneurship in Biomedicine. The Master's Programme has been acknowledged as the best entrepreneurship programme in Sweden by the government (awarded as the best entrepreneurial programme together with corresponding on Chalmers). Education approach and collaboration activities have a major international focus, which contributed to a strong international network both in industry and organizations such as U.N.

Titel: Lecturer in Business Creation and Entrepreneurship in Biomedicine

Beskrivning av arbetsuppgifter: SPECIFIC SUBJECT DESCRIPTION The subject is based on knowledge-based innovation, business creation and entrepreneurship, mainly with application in the life sciences. The subject craves a specific pedagogic approach and consists of pragmatic ethos with a strong focus on multidisciplinary team-based learning and project-based learning. The nature of the subject field is strongly linked to tacit knowledge and experience, which is a strong focus of the applied activities, often delivered through collaboration with various stakeholders both within and outside academia such as health care and industry. This topic covers the knowledge needed to act strategically in the modern knowledge economy where innovation is an engine for development and sustainability. The subject thereby comprises project management and intrapreneurship through development of entrepreneurial attitudes in both new and existing organizations. Major focus is also on the strategy in relation to intellectual property and the creation of new solutions, products, services and markets. JOB ASSIGNMENTS A large part of the job involves teaching advanced level courses, development of content, lecturing, packaging of training materials (e.g. via video recording, create simulation exercises and case studies), all in relation to the main area. The main focus is on teaching in the Master 's Program in Business Creation and Entrepreneurship in Biomedicine. Other tasks included are management of educational projects related to the content of education in the main field. Projects can be international EU projects, national projects and/or local projects.

Beskrivning av kvalifikationer: ELIGIBILITY The qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3 - 4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. For the position as lecturer the applicant must have a technology Master or equivalent and has shown pedagogical skills. ASSESSMENT Regulations for the evaluation of qualifications for academic positions are given in Chapter 4, Section 3-4 of the Higher Education Ordinance. The first assessment criterion will be skill and knowledge and expericence in the main fiel of business creation and entrepreneurship in biomedicine, especially focusing on the management of intellectual property in relation to business creation. The second assessment criterion will be pedagogical skills, then skills as a project manager, the ability to collaboration and administrative skills. At least five years work experience of knowledge-based business creation is a particular advantage. The candidate is expected to teach in Swedish and English. The successful applicant may also be asked to complete an educational programme within the first year of employment.
