At the School of Business, Society and Engineering our students are studying to be for example Bachelors or Masters of Engineering, political scientists and business administrators. Here we have the research specialisations of Industrial Engineering and Management, and Future Energy. Our work takes place in cooperation with and in strategic agreements with companies, organisations and public authorities in the region.

Position description
The applicant is expected to teach courses in the undergraduate level. The applicant will be required to teach in English within the areas of financial & managerial accounting as well as statistics. The applicant is also expected to contribute to course coordination, planning and administration.
Qualifications requirements
The qualification requirements for appointment as a Lecturer at Mälardalen University are a Master's degree or equivalent competence, as well as documented teaching skills. For other information, consult the Appointments Procedure for Mälardalen University.
The applicant should have completed ten weeks of training in higher education teaching and learning, or have otherwise acquired equivalent knowledge. A person appointed as Lecturer but lacking training in higher education teaching and learning will be offered in-house training during the first year. The course in higher education teaching and learning at Mälardalen University corresponds to ten weeks of training.
The ability to teach in English is required.
Assessment criteria
In general terms the assessment criteria shall be based on the ability to cooperate as well as the ability and suitability otherwise required to fulfil the duties well.
The same attention shall be paid to the assessment of teaching skills as to the assessment of academic or artistic skills.
The applicant is also assessed by the degree of administrative experience, and documented experience to teach and execute teaching at university level. Experience from the web based teaching platforms Canvas and Blackboard, administrative course-coordination as well as knowledge and teaching in Statistics is further assessed.
