L6S runs through all of the functions and business areas within AkzoNobel Pulp and Performance Chemicals, and we are growing our global team of experts (Black Belts) in applying continuous improvement with the L6S methodology in the three regions Northern Americas, Southern Americas and Europe.
Your next step in your career! How?
You will be trained as a Black Belt to play a major role in Lean Six Sigma (L6S) deployment and leading improvement projects. It is a fulltime position in which you are responsible for leading L6S projects, delivering the value determined and managing your project team. Besides leading projects, you are also to coach, train and mentor Brown Belts and partner with the organization to define further areas for improvement. You will receive a five weeks intensive L6S training and have a Master Black Belt that will be coaching you during the process up until your certification.
You will be joining a multinational organization that is committed to your personal and professional development and have the chance to experience a broad range of projects. After successfully completing several projects and demonstrating your ability to effectively deliver change, you will certify as a Black Belt. This Black Belt position could be regarded as a traineeship which can lead you to higher management positions.
Qualifications
We are looking for candidates who:
have a Master level qualification
have +/- 6 years of relevant working experience
have demonstrated high performance levels in current and previous roles
are analytical, innovative, open minded and result-oriented
have excellent command of English (both written and spoken)
are able to travel extensively: the job requires travelling approximately 75% of the working time since the projects will be conducted preferably in the region but may also be in our global business
It is an advantage if you meet one or more of the next criteria:
have experience in an international environment
have a manufacturing or commercial background
gained some experience with project management
already encountered and worked with L6S
working knowledge of one or more of the main languages in our business: Norwegian, Swedish, Finnish, German, French, Portuguese, Spanish, Russian and Chinese
