The expected result is improved quality and customer service, shortened lead times and improved efficiency and profitability in line with the expectations expressed in the Volvo Group Strategic Objectives. We utilize the strengths of each concept, and work in ways that put a sustainable system in place, with the Volvo Way as a firm foundation.
Many Business Areas and Business Units have high global ambitions for implementing and maturing in VPS and OD. VPS is also expanding into other business processes outside the traditional Order-to-Delivery and Product Development Processes.
To strengthen the Lean competence in administrative information flow processes we are looking for a Lean Service specialist. The role is to support the expansion of Volvo Production system into new areas outside the traditional Order to Delivery and Product Development processes. You will be involved in model development, VPS-trainings and assessments. As we work closely with the BA/BU resources we share experiences, and ensure that the Volvo Group works in a coordinated direction with the further development of VPS.
You are highly knowledgeable in lean principles and it is a merit if you have experience from leading the implementation of Lean in Service Operations. Experience of Lean in a broader business context is an additional strength as well as experience from OD. Management experience, preferably from IT, HR and/or Finance areas are a merit. We think that you hold a university degree, preferably including Lean concepts, tools and methods.
You are convinced that lean thinking will drive business improvements, and you have a genuine interest to continuously develop the Volvo Group?s ability to establish and master its Production System. Maintaining a long-term relationship with our customers within the Volvo group is important. Thus, you should be able to work independently, taking own initiatives to accomplish goals in creative and innovative ways. You contribute in the team and you take leadership when required.
Our working arena is global so excellent communication skills and proficiency in English is needed. Other language skills are a merit. Relatively frequent travel is expected.
