As Lean Product Development Change Lead, you will be part of a rapidly growing unit and play a key role in our further development. Given our global expansion and exciting changes ahead, we are looking for you who want to strengthen our position as a world leading industrial robot supplier.
Your challenges
You will take on great responsibility within our Lean Product Development transformation. You will develop and apply processes related to our Modular platform, manage change and be our expert on Design for Excellence (DfX) and other specific areas. Furthermore, you will act as transformation leader across business units. This position also involves:
Developing our working culture including processes, methods and tools
Implementing and continuously managing improvement activities
Acting as mentor and coaching both management teams and key stakeholders
Defining and introducing product creation culture
Taking part in various projects
Travelling worldwide

Functional area
You will be part of Robotics in Västerås. We develop, manufacture and market robots and associated control systems, software, arc welding products, tracks and motor packages. Our bases are in Västerås, Jönköping and the Gothenburg area in Sweden.
Over 90% of our production is exported and our customers include all major auto manufacturers. The auto industry and its sub suppliers and to an increasing extent general industry, such as the food industry, are automating their production with robots. Welding, machine tending, materials management, grinding, packaging and assembly are the most common applications. Our robots and robotics are sold via local ABB companies and via independent systems integrators and OEM companies - companies we call our Partners. The unit has 700 employees.
Your profile
To successfully take on this position, you need to be result-focused, innovative and persistent. You thrive in a position where you get to work in, and lead, virtual teams. This position also puts high demands on your ability to grasp the bigger picture, not to mention on your systematic and proactive way of working.
You hold a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering or a Master of Business Administration along with at least ten years' experience from R&D and product development. Experience from systems engineering and product architecture is a must, as is great knowledge of Lean in R&D, agile methods and DfX. Furthermore, this position requires experience of process development as well as proven leadership, people management and change management skills. Fluency in English is a must, written and spoken alike, whereas additional languages will be to your advantage.
