Our Industrial Engineers are working together with our Production, Quality and Logistics team to develop the next generation in modern manufacturing of radar and camera systems. To help and guide on our road ahead we have our important Support Functions close to us, such as HR, Finance and IT

What you'll do?

As our new Lean Engineer, you will work and drive continuous improvements across the organization using Lean methods through our Veoneer Excellence System (VES). Your main responsibility will be to ensure a successful management and implementation of business improvements projects/initiatives across the business. You will do this by developing enthusiastic, motivated and flexible teams and build up working relationships. As our new Lean Engineer, you will have a specialfocus on long term strategic plant layout utilizing Just-In-Time principles, where you will be responsible to define and establish best practices to implement Veoneer Excellence Systems Target Conditions

To accomplish this, you will:

• Support, train and coach both managers and employees in the Lean methodology

• Create standards and training modules for the Veoneer Excellence System methods

• Continuous update the detailed plant layout towards the strategic long-term vision
Coordinate layout topics for the entire Veoneer site in Vårgarda and responsible for CAD-layouts in 2D

You understand the different roles in the project and in the factory, and what you as a whole are all trying to accomplish.

Since one of your main responsibilities will be to instruct and coach both manager and employees we assume that you have excellent communications and leadership skills. When presenting new ways of working you understand that we all have different levels in knowledge and you are able to adapt your communication accordingly. You are also no stranger to working in international environments so the English language and communicating with people from different parts of the world comes as no surprise. You will have a close collaboration with our blue-collar employees, which means that you have to be able to communicate in Swedish as well.

We see you as a trustworthy and dependable person that has excellent facilitationskill. And with the aid of your skill of working under pressure and at the same time have a meticulous eye for detail and quality you can help us forward to reach the next step within automotive and electronic industrialization.

Level (diploma) required:

• Post-secondary education in Manufacturing

Other required skills:

• Experience in Manufacturing
• Experience in Lean implementation
• Experience within the Automotive industry is highly merited
• Experience in AutoCAD 2D
• Experience in MS Office and Office 365
