The section Surface Treatment Engineering designs and delivers technology solutions, materials, technology strategies and expertise in the field of surface treatment. Our commitment covers the entire product and development, which provides varied and challenging tasks. We are now in an exciting phase in the creation of new systems within the area, and searching for you who has an interest in the environmental field. As a Leader in environmental and materials you will manage and coordinate environmental efforts and the development of new materials within surface treatment. As part of Surface Treatment Engineering you will develop and set coating requirements and validate technical solutions. You will drive/move this field into the future with your wide knowledge, influence and performance. As a part of our team you will get access to long term development opportunities in a dynamic and continuously growing field.
Main responsibilities
• Conduct matters and investigations within the environment for surface treatment
• Conduct the Advanced Engineerings mission in line with our strategy in materials development
• Participate in the development and updating of our materials strategy
• Monitor trends among our suppliers and partners in coatings and surface treatment field
• Optimize current materials by initiating and running tasks in the project
• Provide expertise in various investigations
• Develop and lead a new focus on the sustainability of surface treatment
• Monitor and act when changes or new legal restrictions appear in the field of surface treatment
Required qualifications
• You have Technical training on university level, M.Sc. or equivalent with good knowledge of chemistry and environmental area
• You are fluent in English in speaking and writing, and preferably in German also
• You have some experience of surface treatment and materials development
• Meritorious is experience from automotive industry
Personal qualities
• You have a strong drive for results, the ability to act independently and take initiatives
• You are a great communicator
• You should have easy to work together in teams and projects
• You should be proactive and have a great sense of responsibility
