Who we are
We are the Vehicle Performance and Analytics Department within CAST organization in Vehicle Engineering. In our team, we develop, secure and verify complete vehicle performance by vehicle simulations. We also provide data analytics on customer usage, vehicle performance, operating conditions, product structure and assortment analysis.
We are subject matter expert in the simulation field of NVH, aerodynamics, crash, optimization and data analytics.
Our team works from a complete vehicle perspective in research, advanced engineering, technology and vehicle programs as well as product maintenance. We are fully integrated in all development phases, contributing with competence and guidelines to improve our customer features and products.
We are about 11 enthusiastic colleagues in the Department who is passionate about vehicle performance and driven to create the best driving experience possible!
Today we have a strong and long expertise in the noise area, and we now want to further strengthen CAST vehicle analysis with a Lead Analyst for exterior noise. One of the most customer-facing domains of the upcoming engineering era!
What you will do
As Lead Vehicle Analyst Exterior Noise, you are part of the CAST organization that works together to evolve and optimize transport solutions through vehicle concepts and performance evaluation. Our organization has also expertise domain in the simulation fields of durability, ride comfort, handling and vehicle motion control.
Our rapid and disruptive development requires continuous improvement of efficiency in analysis by creating an environment that enables us to perform more, earlier and top-quality analysis to provide the best and most optimized transport solutions for our customers. You will play a vital role in our journey to success.
You are an expert within CAE analysis and Sound & Vibration, able to analyze and develop concepts and ideas in reducing noise emissions on our vehicles.
You work with an experienced team of experts and in close cooperation with the product development organization to provide tools, models, methods and expertise to enable vehicle noise performance evaluation.
You evaluate concepts from a performance as well as complexity and feasibility point of view and by that being part of developing strategies & roadmaps for technology development in the noise area.
Who you are
To be a great fit for this position we believe you have a strong will to create the future of noise performance - Your experience in CAE & noise calculation would be invaluable to us both in concept work and when working with current designs for increased customer satisfaction.
You have good abilities to analyze results and develop improvements combined with a curious, creative and communicative mindset. You also need to be equipped with a positive attitude and enjoy working in international cross-functional and multi-cultural teams. Having knowledge of our products and automotive industry would be a merit. You have a strong interest in technology and would love to work with vehicle analysis in order to deliver optimal vehicle performance.
You have many internal interfaces of collaboration and develop a broad network. To fulfil your responsibilities, you will also get to travel in order to test our vehicles in different customer related driving conditions.
What we require
Master degree in Physics, Sound & Vibration or equivalent with an orientation towards analysis
Experience from exterior noise/acoustic analysis and related methods and tools as well as CAE and signal processing is required
Experience from product data management systems is meriting
Experience from product development & automotive industry is meriting
Fluent in English, both spoken and written
Main tools used are Nastran, ANSA, Actran, Python, Matlab and to some extent Simca
To be successful in this role you have an analytical capability and are result oriented. You are comfortable with cooperating and communicate with people on different levels in the organization and you have a customer focus and flexible mind set.
The position is located in Gothenburg, Sweden
