hela Sverige We are looking for a skilled Lead Test Engineer to strengthen our Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and Active Safety team.
At the forefront of Research and Development in the automotive industry, Volvo Group Truck Technology (GTT) offers you the opportunity to become a part of the Data Analysis Team for ADAS and Active safety. The ADAS team is part of the Vehicle Motion & Energy Management department and has the responsibility to lead the development of ADAS and Active Safety systems for the full life-cycle enabling tomorrow's trucks and buses. VMEM department is part of Vehicle Technology, responsible for developing vehicle components and systems for the different brands within the Volvo Group.

The ADAS team works tightly together in agile teams where helping and supporting each other in our daily delivery is just as important as our personal development on the journey towards our common goals.
We work in the whole development chain from requirement generation and concept design to function development, simulation, rapid prototyping, tests in prototype trucks, but also in the later Product Development phases and projects.
The scope of the teams within Driver Assistance and Active Safety is to take care of the immediate traffic situation the truck is in. Examples of functionalities being developed by our team are: Adaptive Cruise Control, Advanced Emergency Braking Support, Lane Departure Assist and bicyclist accident avoidance system.
More and more sensors are being integrated in the vehicles and we want to strengthen our capability in sensor data analysis and validation to continuously improve our functions.
Position Description
Coordinate and lead Testing Activities in ADAS
Secure builds of test-objects to a test-ready state
Internal and external Communication for securing component hardware and software releases etc.
Test Methodology
Develop/Implement state of the art ADAS test methodology at GTT ADAS
Develop knowledge of test equipment development in ADAS
Plan test-target validation activities when needed/when new targets are introduced
Be aware/knowledgeable of latest in legal regulation test specification and EuroNCAP
Root Cause Analysis
Run and support in data collection activities
Vehicle Checkouts
Data Analysis

Qualifications:
You have a master's degree in Engineering Physics, Automation, Signal processing, Electronics, Mechatronics or similar.
You have at least 3 years of experience within the development or validation of ADAS or Active safety systems or similar.
Experience in vehicle instrumentation, test setup (Vehicle preparation, test dummies, balloon cars, etc), test data collection (test track, public road), test data management (file format, storing/uploading and reuse), interpretation of results and writing reports
Good understanding of ADAS functions
Good understanding of various perception sensors (Radar, Camera, etc.)
Knowledge about usage of instruments like data loggers and data visualization tools
Experience with agile way of working
C/CE License is a merit
Good verbal and written communication skills in English
