hela Sverige Systems Engineering within Electrical & Electronics Engineering is responsible for the development and maintenance of the overall EE architecture and system design. The responsibility includes system infrastructure concepts such as diagnostics, logging, power management and network design as well as supporting information modeling and processes. We are a team located in Gothenburg, working close with colleagues at other engineering sites in the Volvo international environment.
As a System Design Engineer in the area of Diagnostics and Vehicle Interface Functions you will have a key role to ensure that the vehicle embedded functionality enables various off-board services; connected services such as vehicle monitoring, pre-diagnostics, service planning and fleet management, as well as more driver oriented services and applications.
You will have the responsibility to develop and maintain our system infrastructure requirements, information model and process. You will also support the embedded developers to use the infrastructure properly in the detailed development and during documentation. Moreover, you will work together with the developers of off-board and connected services/applications, ensuring that the embedded vehicle infrastructure, functionality and data are utilized properly outside the vehicle. You will have a key role in the Extended Vehicle Integration Office.

Qualifications
• MSc in electrical engineering, computer science or similar
• Insight into automotive EE systems, diagnostics and data link communication.
• Good understanding of system development of embedded real-time systems
• Good understanding in information modeling, model and data driven development.
• Insight into application and IT system development
• Analytical and communicative
• Business and customer oriented
• Fluent in English, both written and spoken
