We are looking for a Lead System Architect for I&VSWS, our vehicle data and cybersecurity train.
Our organization is working with data from the vehicles. Creating the data, Ensuring its security, quality, capturing it and explaining it. We are growing into our role, but some current topics are diagnostics, predictive maintenance, cybersecurity, data governance, digital twin, software interfaces, both on board and through tools.
The Lead system architect binds our teams together and involves other teams by creating the overall architecture for our solutions to a level where the individual teams can take over. In this work, the teams will support you. You ensure the relevance and quality of the architecture and maintain an inspiring roadmap.
You are a speaking partner to the other system architects and the platform architects.
Vehicle Technology, the stream in which we are located, utilizes agile & with that the framework SAFE. As we are still learning to apply the framework in our daily operations, not everything nor every role is in place yet, you understand that sometimes you will have to move in between the roles & "boxes". You are agile at heart and help us tailor SAFE to the maturity level we are at as well as highlighting and driving the improvements we need for the future. You are the person to help us design & build for the future while supporting the existing solutions. Your experience has taught you that technical solutions are only the foundations for product development and not the end goal. You challenge yourself and others by putting your work in the context of value creation.

Expectations on you
For our Lead System Architect, we want somebody who has an intuitive understanding of data. Quality, capturing, structuring, storing, refining data. You are able to theorize and inspire around these topics
It helps if you have a previous insight into our world. Knowing specific automotive protocols and terms for instance. Some experience with onboard architecture and its limitations.
You are expected to be a servant leader, being in touch, providing inspiring options but listening to input, and with an ability to be flexible and kill your darlings.
You are able to thrive and act in uncertain circumstances, to do, and apologize later, but also with a good sensibility to understand where you must synchronize first.
We sit close together and support each other in the team. We interact daily with other developers and teams around us. We work in a global setting and across organizations. You are a key driver in many of these interactions.
You will be a part of the management team, train lead and report to the Global Technology Manager for I&VSWS
