As a Lead software engineer, you will drive the design and development of applications that enables users to combine metadata and video footage across large-scale datasets.
In this role, you will develop and deliver scalable, high-quality software, offer strong technical leadership and mentorship, and collaborate closely with product owners, UX/UI designers, developers, and other stakeholders to ensure every solution meets business goals while delivering real value to users.
We are looking for a results-driven, pragmatic person with a collaborative mindset and a positive attitude. You enjoy solving complex technical challenges, while keeping sight of the long-term vision, prioritization, and sound engineering practices. You take ownership, provide clarity and guidance to the team, and contribute to a culture of high-quality, impactful software development.
Our team is based in Lund, and you will report to the Software Development Manager in Lund.
Required Skills and Experience:
• 5+ years of experience as a Backend or Full-Stack Engineer
• Advanced proficiency in Golang and Python, with a proven track record of building production-grade services
• Hands-on experience with MongoDB, Elasticsearch, or similar NoSQL and search technologies
• Proficiency in Vue.js or a comparable frontend framework for building user interfaces
• Experience implementing automated testing, including unit tests, integration tests, and CI pipelines
• Strong understanding of distributed system design and service-to-service communication using REST, MQTT, Kafka, or similar technologies
Desirable Skills and Experience:
• Experience working with video protocols such as RTSP, HLS, or MPEG-DASH
• Experience with Cloud platforms such as Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud platform distributed architectures, and modern communication protocols
• Working knowledge of Docker, containerized environments, and deployment workflows
