We are looking for a Lead Quality Engineer with experience in a similar role to join the Release Team at Product Line Unite Solutions R&D at Ascom. The position is based in Gothenburg.
Responsibilities

• Responsible for the complete handling and administrative work of assigned NCRs.
• Responsible for planning, prioritizing and reporting progress of her/his own work.
This also includes divergences from made plans and agreements.
• Responsible for keeping the used Request Management System (RMS, Jira or equal) updated about status/progress around her/his own tasks and assignments.
• Responsible for proactive planning, to react pro-actively, including containment actions, to reported failures to minimize cost of quality for the division.
• Act as an external interface towards sales partners in a professional manner to keep relation to customer in a positive manner in spite of existing quality problem.
• Update Own manager on NCR status and Priority A Quality issues and their progress.
• Update GPL manager on NCR status and Priority A Quality issues and their progress.
• Update DMT and other internal management on progress of priority A quality issues during pulse room forum.
• Maintain and improve the lab and act for a good physical and social working environment.

Job Description

• Work to sustain and maintain the quality and functionality of our core product portfolio. 
• Receive and manage incoming NCRs from start to resolution according to the routines.
• Plan and coordinate with R&D and Issuer, necessary actions to solve issue.
• Benchmark and report KPI status on a regular basis.
• Participate in vigilance activities.
• Correlate fault areas to pinpoint defect prone products and functions to motivate necessary maintenance activities. 
• Report progress on a regularly basis to Manager Unite release team.
• Drive sustain meeting.
• On regular basis keep the communication with the Issuer of the NCR present updates on the progress of the investigation.
• Report to Product Manager regarding product enhancements, improvements or deficiencies
• Provide Product Managers with technical advice.
• Write and publish Technical News.
• Coach and guide other engineers within the group.
• Take an active role in analysis and improvements regarding maintenance workflow and process.
• May participate in FAI during PCP projects.
• May participate in test activities.

Qualifications

• BSc. Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Mechanical, Computer Science or similar background.
• 5-10 years' experience in a similar role.
• To have good technical knowledge.
• To have good English language skills.
• To have good Swedish language skills.
• To be able to make oneself understood and also understand others both in speech and writing.
• To be able to work independently.
• Have good ability to cooperate and to guide others.
• To have broad knowledge about the whole product family offered by the company.
• Have good knowledge of the internal processes within the division.
• Have a selling attitude
