About the role
Lead Project Manager Advanced Vehicle Range (AVR) is a senior project manager position with the responsibility of leading Concept Truck and Transport Solution projects by consolidating and securing optimal solutions considering well-known and new technologies. Advanced Vehicle Range is a dedicated global organization aiming to prepare the Volvo Group for the future, building knowledge and demonstrating future transport solutions concepts. We explore and identify future global market needs to build the Advanced Transport solution Concept project portfolio in line with Volvo Group technology strategy. We work in collaborations with external partners to be better prepared for the transportation challenges faced by society and industry.

Mission
As a Lead Project Manager you will lead one or more extensive and innovative advanced transport concept/transport solution projects by developing and integrating established and new game-changing technologies delivering a complete vehicle transport solution for virtual and/or physical demonstration. Examples of projects include concept trucks for improved freight efficiency, vehicle solutions for upcoming environmental legislations and new transport solutions meeting future societal and environmental needs. You will collaborate closely with a variety of global cross functional stakeholders and solution providers such as Vehicle Engineering, Powertrain Engineering, CTO Office, Product Planning, Vehicle Ranges, Complete Vehicle, Group Trucks Operations, Innovative Purchasing, and Truck Brands.

Core Responsibilities
You will have the role as Chief Project Manager reporting to the Advanced Vehicle Range Steering Committee. With support from your cross functional team you are responsible to plan, execute, deliver and transfer to business according to plan. You will manage the project performance and evaluate gaps and opportunities to act upon. The position also includes leading collaborative projects involving external partners and agencies giving opportunities for public funding and an increased knowledge base.

Qualifications
Master of Science within relevant field or comparable work experience
Extensive project management experience including early development phases
Understanding of complete vehicle solutions and the commercial vehicle business and customers' needs
Competence within electromobility, automation, and connectivity
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Experience in projects interfacing with several functional areas on different sites with high integration complexity
Skilled in development processes and an interest to apply agile methods and develop ways of working
As all documentation is in English, proficiency in the English language is required
