LEAD PRODUCT DESIGNER

Klarna is seeking a Lead Product Designer to support and develop it's financial service products. In this role, you?ll work with a small cross-functional team to define and create the interfaces and experiences that help to make Klarna a simpler, safer and more fun service.

The ideal candidate is an experienced product design professional with 7+ yrs technical experience in UX roles at a consumer focused tech or media companies. Strong competence or native with English written language. Familiarity with web standards and modern web technology is a must.

The candidate will leverage their past work experience in finance to create products that improve our ability to underwrite, service, account and complete the financing of individual term loans. These products will enhance our customer and merchant experiences from end to end for our product.

Requirements:

• 7+ yrs technical experience in UX roles at a consumer focused tech or media companies

• Experience working/consulting with fortune 1000 companies

• Must have experience teaching UX, Design and development to large groups

• Must be comfortable presenting products to American board level executives in business English

• Creative with an eye for shape and color

• Understand different materials and production methods

• Have technical, practical and scientific knowledge and ability be interested in the way people choose and use products.

• Have deep verbal communication skills

• RoR, C, PHP, Erlang and/or MySQL development experience

• Understanding of JSON and restful services

• Experience with Linux/Unix/Mac operating systems

• Experience in web-based eCommerce systems

• Experience working with Product / Project management in formulating requirements and providing detailed estimates for implementation

• Experience working in Agile environments such as Scrum, XP, etc. Experience with Subversion, Git, or similar SCM tools

• Experience consuming and exposing REST services Experience deploying to cloud environments
