THIS IS WHAT YOU WILL DO
As our Lead Measurement Engineer, you will act as support to our global testing departments within AB Volvo with a high level of responsibility within the measurement equipment and data collection area. We can offer you an interesting and exciting experience, where you will be involved in the development of tools and equipment to be able to meet new demands in both rigs and complete vehicle testing.
The role includes daily contact with test leaders and engineers to ensure we deliver the service and support requested. You will also be involved in different kinds of investigations and test-to-learn activities, as well as education and development of new methods within the measurement area. Another important part of your responsibility will be to support and coach other measurement engineers in their work.
Main tasks:
Understand existing and future requirements on test equipment and needed methods
Generate ideas and pre-studies to improve efficiency, reliability, and quality demands on testing equipment
In co-operation with equipment suppliers finding technical solutions and be part of the realization and commissioning of new equipment
Act as advisor for measurement and data collection related questions and topics

Qualifications and Experience:
University Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Fluent in English, spoken and written
Experience from measurement equipment in connection to automotive testing
Experience from areas like Autonomous, Electro mobility, Connectivity and/or Active safety
Able to provide technical specifications in the field of measurement equipment and sensors for testing systems
Excellent communications and networking skills
Good presentation skills, able to make the complicated understandable
Truck driving license is a merit
